THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH OF THE HEAVENLY REST in association with Beverley Vanessa Hill PRESENTS A GALA BENEFIT CONCERT to benefit HABITAT FOR HUMANITY NEW YORK CITY on Sunday November 12, 2006 at 4pm. Scenes from Gluck's "Orfeo and Euridice" will be performed by The Magic Circle Opera Repertory Ensemble directed by Ray Evans Harrell and assisted by members of the Heavenly Rest Choir. Opera and Oratorio excerpts from Mozart, Puccini, Offenbach and Verdi, songs of Schubert as well as Spirituals of Hall Johnson and Florence Price will be performed. Admission is by Donation
Vocalists for this concert will include
dramatic soprano Beverley Vanessa Hill, mezzo soprano Darcy Dunn, contralto Marka Knight, countertenor Parker Burton III, tenor Gregory Hopkins, and bass Johannes Rodhammer accompanied by Roger Malouf.
The performers for the evening are graciously donating their time and talents. All proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity, New York City.
